The brazing material refers to the filler added in the gap or beside the gap in order to achieve the combination of two materials (or parts). During welding, the brazing filler metal wets the base material and forms a solid solution structure with the base material to achieve close bonding of the welding material.
Some factors that must be considered when choosing a solder are melting point, wettability, joint strength, etc. These factors have a direct impact on the quality of brazing. The aluminum alloy radiator tube usually uses this processing method.
4045 aluminum brazing material is to add the content of zinc (Zn) which can effectively reduce the corrosion potential of the alloy on the basis of 4045 aluminum alloy, so it does not affect its properties while reducing the the corrosion potential of the alloy.
As a brazing material, it acts as a transition layer between the fin and the core material of the radiator tube. During the use of the radiator tube, the fin with the lowest corrosion potential is corroded first. The fins are corroded while transferring electrons to the solder alloy.
