4047 aluminum belongs to aluminum silicon alloy with about 12% silicon content, which has good corrosion resistance, low melting point and good welding fluidity. The motherboard has low deformation during welding. It is recommended for welding deformed aluminum alloys such as 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6951, 7005 and cast aluminum 710.0 and 711.0.
Aluminum 4043 VS4047
4043 is aluminum with 5% silicon; 4047 is aluminum with 12% silicon. What’s the uses of ilicon added in the alloy? Pure metals have a specific melting point. However, the alloy melts within a certain temperature range.
When heating, it starts to melt at a certain temperature, which is called the solidus, and completes the melting at a higher temperature, which is called the liquidus. The temperature difference between the liquidus and solidus is called the melting range.
